Godzilla Resurgence
is an upcoming Japanese science fiction kaiju film featuring Godzilla, produced and distributed by Toho Studios. The film is co-directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi with the screenplay written by Anno and the special effects directed by Higuchi. It is intended to be Toho's own reboot of the ''Godzilla'' franchise, the film will be the 31st entry in the franchise and the 29th Godzilla film produced by Toho. ''Godzilla Resurgence'' is targeted for a summer 2016 release.

*Hiroki Hasegawa - Hasegawa will play a government official.〔 After Toho offered him the role, Hasegawa immediately accepted, stating, "Who wouldn't want to be involved in a Godzilla production?"〔
*Satomi Ishihara - Ishihara will play a U.S. agent.〔 Ishihara became excited after accepting the role but stressed that her character features "English-heavy dialogue", stating, "Sometimes it's so frustrating, I just want to cry."〔
*Yutaka Takenouchi - Takenouchi will play a government official.〔 Takenouchi stated that the film will be the "best of them all" and that it will contain a "deeper message".〔
